Introduction
The Constitution of 1962 was the Second Constitution of Pakistan. It was drafted under the direction of President Ayub Khan and Promulgated on 1st March 1962. It introduced a President system and was designed to ensure stability and strong central governance.
Background
following the abrogation of the 1956 constitional and the imposition of martial law 1958 ayub khan formed a Constituion commision , and based on its recommendation the 1962 constitution was enacted.
